Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is a method that allows to eliminate the risk of genetic diseases transmission in the child, even before becoming pregnant - detecting genetic defects in the embryo. This method enables prospective parents to have a healthy child without the risk of genetic defects transmission, which the parents may be burdened with. For certain groups of patients, it is the only possibility of having healthy offsprings.
